Congratulations to Maria João Sebastião for her Excellent Shotgun Communication award at the 3rd International Symposium in Profiling (ISPROF2017) held in Capuchos, Caparica, Portugal, the 4th to 7thof September 2017.
The awarded work is entitled “Unveiling the role of human cardiac stem cells in acute myocardial infarction” and was carried out at the Animal Cell Technology Unit of IBET – Instituto de Biologia Experimental e Tecnológica and ITQB NOVA.
The work is authored by Maria João Sebastião, Margarida Serra, Rute Pereira, Itziar Palacios, Patrícia Gomes-Alves , Paula Alves and focuses on the development of an in vitro human cell based model to study human cardiac stem cell mechanisms of action upon an acute myocardial injury (heart attack) through proteomic based tools.
