As part of iBET’s People Development programme, the institute organised a 3-days course in Project Management addressed to iBET collaborators with the main goal to provide them with new methodologies, more adaptable and flexible to iBET projects, but also to improve their management skills.
PRINCE2 (PRojects IN Controlled Environments) is a standard method for Project Management and is practiced worldwide, providing an easily tailored and scalable method for the management of all types of projects. The 3 days PRINCE2® 2017 Foundation course provides an optimal mix of classroom lectures, interactive case studies, assignments, additional reading materials, and exam preparation material, providing participants with the skills needed to practically apply that knowledge in real life. At iBET, a group of 10 collaborators were identified and started the course last November and another group of more 10 collaborators will start it in the beginning of 2019, both with the opportunity to do a final exam and get a certificate.

On completing this course, the participants will gain competencies in the principles of the PRINCE2 method; how to start, control, and close projects; how to manage quality and risk; how to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the specified business case; and how to tailor PRINCE2 to different project environments.
This course is taught by Dr Virgínia Araújo from XWEB, accredited trainer and consultant, who has extensive experience in managing large and complex international projects in the public and private sectors.
