Researchers from iBET participated in the IV ECI’s Integrated and Continuous Biomanufacturing Conference (ICB). The event took place from 6 to 10 October in Brewster (Cape Cod), Massachusetts, USA, and brought together leading scientists and engineers from academia, industry, and regulatory agencies.
The ECI’s Integrated and Continuous Biomanufacturing Conference (ICB) is the world’s premiere conference in the field . This year, ICB showcased the implementation of these technologies for GMP biomanufacturing using case studies of clinical and commercial bioprocesses.
iBET’s researchers presented a poster snapshot (“Intensifying the manufacture of hiPSC therapy products through metabolic and process understanding”, Maria Margarida Serra) and an oral communication (“Design of a periodic counter-current chromatography process for efficient oncolytic virus purification”, Ricardo Silva).
In addition, Manuel Carrondo, Vice-President of iBET, served as chairperson of the session “Continuous Processing – beyond CHO and/or Proteins“.
